Tiling

Creekside Valley Farms offers full service tiling and excavation. We have improved the quality of many of our properties, as well as our partners' properties by designing and installing tile systems.
Tiling and drainage systems allow for sub-surface water movement. This can help reduce erosion, and increase crop yields.
The tile system works by placing perforated drain pipe in a grid system underground. Water seeps into the pipe and is dispersed through and away from the field. This lowers the water table and allows crops more space for their root systems, which leads to better crop health, and generally higher yields.

These systems can be customized to best serve your land and crops. Some crops such as hazelnuts and blueberries benefit from a denser pipe pattern and increased water movement. Others may only need limited drainage.
